Inner Paths to Outer Space ~ Rick Strassman MD

Inner Paths to Outer Space (Park Street Press, 2008) combines the interests and expertise of four co-authors, including Dr. Strassman. The idea behind the book was originally conceived by the 2nd co-author, Dr. Slawek Wojtowicz, a hematology-oncology researcher, who is also a science fiction author and illustrator. He believed the science fiction community should be made aware of the results of the UNM DMT research, particularly regarding the experience of contact with “beings” which was reported so frequently.

Seeking a broad base, we then invited Dr. Luis Eduardo Luna, an anthropologist with extensive experience in the cross-cultural use of ayahuasca in shamanic and psychotherapeutic settings, to join us. Dr. Luna then suggested we add to our contributors Dr. Ede Frecksa, a Hungarian psychiatrist with a broad-based and wide-ranging perspective on quantum phenomena in psychiatric research and phenomenology, as well as shamanism. Each author contributes two to four chapters, resulting in a free-wheeling and stimulating presentation of some of the more intriguing implications of the original DMT research in particular, and that of the psychedelic experience in general.

Rick Strassman MD performed the first human studies with psychedelic drugs in the US in over 20 years. His research involved the powerful naturally-occurring compound, DMT – N,N-dimethyltryptamine. Led to this substance through his earlier study of the pineal gland as a potential biological locus for spiritual experiences, he administered several hundred doses to DMT to approximately 60 volunteers between 1990 and 1995. He wrote about this research in the popular book, DMT – The Spirit Molecule, now in its 15th printing. With three distinguished collaborators, he co-authored Inner Paths to Outer Space, which looks more carefully at the common “other worlds” experience volunteers typical of the DMT effect.

Since 1996, Dr. Strassman has been exploring models for the DMT effect, and has focused primarily on the Old Testament concept of prophecy. This is a spiritual experience which takes into account the apparently external, free-standing nature of the DMT “worlds,” in which one’s sense of self is highly preserved and interactive. This is in contrast to previous models that borrow more heavily from Eastern religious systems, ones that emphasize unitive, ego-dissolving experiences. In addition, the prophetic model deals directly with ethical and moral concerns, adding a crucial element to our ability to understand and integrate the content of the psychedelic experience. He is developing these ideas in his next book, The Soul of Prophecy, due to appear in 2011.

PITTSBURGH (NewsRadio 1020 KDKA) – Dec. 21, 2012, will be the end of the world and Pittsburgh will be at the center of it as predicted by the Mayans thousands of years ago.

Technically, the Mayans didn’t say it was the end of the world, but their calendar does end on Dec. 21, and strangely enough, there are references in their calendar to a geographical point on Earth where three rivers merge with a fourth river- the center of the universe.

“Our rivers are part of the ancient Mayan prophetic teachings that show unity,” Vickie Hanchin, a local psychotherapist, said.

Hanchin has become the unofficial spokesperson of the theory that Pittsburgh will be the portal to a new era.

“The three rivers were put in our landscape by the creator to show the promised time of the return of oneness,” Hanchin said,

Many spiritual leaders, including Mayan scholars and even the Dalai Lama, say that the convergence of Pittsburgh’s rivers is in fact that point, making the ‘Burgh one of the most spiritual places on the planet.

Whatever happens on Dec. 21, it will begin here.

“An alignment is happening in the heavens that is supposed to be supporting us to shift into a higher consciousness,” Hanchin said.

KDKA-AM’s Larry and John talked to Hanchin about the ancient Mayan prophesies and the end of their calendar, which she says is the marking the end of a 26,000-year cycle. On that day, the Point will become a source of healing and enlightenment, ushering in a 1,000 years of peace and love as the universe aligns to be one.

“We’re stewards to a very powerful place that has that message and we should be aware of it,” Hanchin said.

2012 – World Servers Festival Week

The term “new group of world servers” was coined in the 1930s by British writer and teacher who worked in cooperation with Tibetan teacher Djwhal Khul to bring forth a series of twenty volumes of esoteric philosophy. This group is a product of this time in planetary history, which is said to be the most important in the long history of life on Earth.

The opportunity standing before this group is great in that it provides a link, or bridge, between the world of subjective reality and the outer world of form–between humanity and the Kingdom of God. There is a divine Plan for our planet; we are not following an uncharted course. But for many years this Plan has been interrupted by the separatism, selfishness and materialism of many people.

This condition has created an interruption within the flow of spiritual life and a disruption within the working out of the Plan. Now we are reaching a critical mass wherein a sufficient number of people are awakening to the need to restore a balance in our world that comes out upon the side of spiritual values–broadly defined as a recognition of the oneness of Humanity and all life forms. This group is not concerned with and has no outer affiliation but is rather a loose subjective grouping, across all the many fields of human endeavor. The purpose of the group is fourfold:

2. to synthesize and integrate all constructive activity as a demonstration of the

DECEMBER 21 – 28, 2012
As the consciousness of humanity evolves, new spiritual energies become available for use in service. Every seven years this group receives a powerful subjective/spiritual stimulation. There is widespread recognition of this in the popular attention given to the beginning of a new cycle of the Mayan calendar in December 2012.

Alice Bailey describes a cycle of energies flowing into humanity every seven years during the week December 21 – 28. December 21, 2012 – Two Suns in the Sky

2012 researcher and author Marshall Masters, offers an in-depth look at the predictions made in a crop circled formation he calls the “2012 Star Map of Doom.”
