Category: Synchronicity

The experience of meaningful coincidences is universal. They are reported by people of every culture, every belief system, and every time period. Synchronicity examines the evidence for the human influence on the meaningfulness of events, and the way the modern computational model of the mind predicts how we create meaning.

It demonstrates that these events, based on the activity of the mind, are caused by the person who perceives them.

In this fascinating work, you will:

Learn to use your amazing ability to create synchronistic events
Discover how your mind creates the reality you experience
Unlock your brain’s vast resources of connectivity and creativity

Change from living as a separate being to living as a part of the unified whole

Synchronicity will show you how you already create events around you, and make you a conscious co-creator of your reality. Dr. Surprise describes the miracles of your brain’s processes, merging the worlds of modern physics and ancient mysticism to reveal abilities you have always possessed, but which were not fully understood–until now.

Learn to make reality dance to the rhythms of your thoughts.

Synchronicity the art of coincidence, choice and unlocking your mind

A combination of Jungian study, literary analysis, and therapy, this guide offers a powerful vision for capitalizing on synchronicity to instill peace in the self and the world. Synchronous moments are more than pure chance, coincidence, and dumb luck; this book shows that by recognizing them as a connection to a much larger, older pattern, readers can use the myths of culture and 1,000-year-old civilizations to guide themselves out of suffering and into tranquility. Starting with a new explanation of synchronicity and then offering practical instructions and exercises to tap into this collective wisdom, the book helps readers identify the mythic patterns that guide humanity, allowing them to face inner monsters without fear, convert them into love and compassion, and relax as part of a universal harmony.

Allan G. Hunter: The Path of Synchronicity.

What is synchronicity? How can you get it to work for you? What does it take? If you want to know how to align yourself with the flow of energy of the universe, then you’ll need this book….

Synchronicities – Dr Allan Hunter

THE TWELFTH INSIGHT AND SOCIAL REFORM
As I write this, the television is showing shots of Tahrir Square in Cairo filled with thousands of people shouting and jubilant in the street. Egyptian president Mubarak has just stepped down, and approximately two hundred thousand people are chanting in unison: “We ousted Mubarak! We ousted Mubarak!”

An expert commentator is saying, “This is as significant as the fall of the Soviet Union: A spontaneous call for democratic reform!”

A quick glance at my inbox reveals what I had a hunch might be there, a short comment by Carl Johan Calleman on the Egyptian phenomenon, saying that while this was not part of the surge in spiritual consciousness the Mayans were predicting, it is the first seeding of this surge, and amazing in itself. The real stuff, he continues, is going to be felt beginning on March 8, 2011, as a wave that builds in steps until it flashes complete and lasts through the Mayan calendar’s best known end date of December 21, and beyond.

Calleman has become famous because he predicted the beginning of the world-wide financial collapse in 2007 with his interpretation of the Calendar’s dates. And he agrees with me that the predicted consciousness will not be imposed. We have to learn to “tune” into this new level of spirituality. This “tuning” in process is exactly what I believe is already happening, and that I am calling a Twelfth Insight: the rise of a new clarity about how to live our spirituality at a new, down-to-earth level.

Are you interested in the “law of attraction” but not certain if our knowledge is complete? Do you know there is a “Secret” to manifesting our dreams, but feel we’re only now beginning to understand exactly how it is done? If you were in Egypt are you wondering if you would have dared to join in?

If so, then you’re beginning to “tune in” as well. And guess what? Every major religion has small enclaves of people lifting into this exact consciousness at the same time. In fact, as we begin to see a more lived spirituality across many religious traditions, we can say there is an “authentic spirituality” being demonstrated now for all to see.

Moreover, it is becoming clear that this common discovery of something deeper across major religions is already beginning to bridge the gap and competition between these traditions. In other words, spirituality at the level of direct experience feels the same for all of us, and so “feeling it” for ourselves is the new value.

At the same time, the Mayan Calendar is telling us something more: that regardless of religious preference, it’s about to get easier to “tune in” than ever before. Why? Because the more people who do it, the more this consciousness becomes the norm in human culture, and thus, the easier (and more accepted) it will be for any one individual to take the step themselves.

In earlier articles, I have talked about how this “tuning in” feels. Every tradition speaks of the “fruits” of the spiritual life, and each emphasizes individual aspects of these fruits, but in a sense, as we embrace this “Authentic Spirituality,” we are integrating all the different points of view into one common experience.

First and foremost, we get an inner feeling of Love and Peace from a higher Divine Connection. But we also get other, more esoteric perceptions as well: a psychological alignment with the Karmic design of the Universe, so that our goals and dreams begin to work at a more miraculous level; a guiding intuition that can be counted on to put us in the right place to live a flow of rich Synchronicity; and most profoundly, we get a nagging sense of something we are supposed to do in the world to make it better.

This nagging urge to do something is what the early bloggers and tweeters felt, as they helped launch the Egyptian call for democratic reform. And it’s the reason so many people all over the planet look at what is happening with such hope. Yet, we all worry at the same time. What if the extremists on both sides take over and hijack the effort and return the country to dictatorship? What if the larger world powers don’t support the effort enough?

Yet this worrying is just one more hint that the urge is building within all of us to go do something ourselves. God knows there is a lot wrong with the world. But the message of the Twelfth Insight is that we can do it. There is help coming, more than at any other time in history. Go ahead. Prove it for yourself. Tune in!

All it takes is the smallest knock on the door.

About the Book

Is there a way to move into sync with the spiritual design of the universe, so that our lives go better? Are we discovering how to have more synchronicity, and more accurate intuitions, that can guide us through the challenges of our lives before they get bad–and open up magical opportunities for our best dreams? I believe a new, very exciting time is beginning in human history. I call it the 12th Insight. The Mayan Calendar calls it the Ninth Wave of Creation.

But whatever it is called, it is a new clarity about the nature of the universe, and how we, as individuals, can put spiritual knowledge into very practical application to find a higher path through life. Think about it. We have been pursuing spiritual knowledge in a mass way for decades. And finally we’ve reached the clarity to put it into action, to live it everyday!

As we act individually, we create together a new cultural approach to life that is the key to solving all the problems facing human society. I believe we can already sense what is occurring. There is a new call for civility and honesty in politics and business. It’s the new urge we feel to live a more authentic life of integrity.

The emerging Twelfth Insight represents a spiritual life that the best of every religious tradition has always held true, and that, in fact, points the way toward peace. There has never been a more exciting time to be alive. In spite of all our problems, this new awareness can be contagious, moving from person to person and can resolve everything. We just have to consciously share the truth of what we are doing. Remember, it’s not the end times. We’re just beginning. It’s morning in the world!

In Gratitude,
James Redfield

On December 21, 2012, the Mayan calendar will end. Many see it as an apocalyptic sign.

Description
Leadership is the most crucial choice one can make—it is the decision to step out of darkness into the light.

Bestselling author and spiritual guide Deepak Chopra invites you to become the kind of leader most needed today: a leader with vision who can make that vision real. Chopra has been teaching leadership to CEOs and other top executives for eight years, and the path outlined in The Soul of Leadership applies to any business, but the same principles are relevant in every community and area of life, from family and home to school, place of worship, and neighborhood. “At the deepest level,” Chopra writes, “a leader is the symbolic soul of a group.”

With clear, practical steps, you are led through the crucial skills outlined in the acronym L-E-A-D-E-R-S:
L = Look and Listen
E = Emotional Bonding
A = Awareness
D = Doing
E = Empowerment
R = Responsibility
S = Synchronicity

After identifying your own soul profile and the core values you want to develop, you can use these seven skills to allow your potential for greatness to emerge. Only from the level of the soul, Chopra contends, are great leaders created. Once that connection
is made, you have unlimited access to the most vital qualities a leader can possess: creativity, intelligence, organizing power, and love.

The Soul of Leadership aims to fill the most critical void in contemporary life, the void of enlightened leaders. “You can be such a leader,” Chopra promises. “The path is open to you. The only requirement is that you learn to listen to your inner guide.” In this unique handbook you are shown how to do just that, in words as practical as they are uplifting. The future is unfolding at this very minute, and the choice to lead it lies with each of us, here and now.

Is everything connected? Can we sense what’s happening to loved ones thousands of miles away? Why are we sometimes certain of a caller’s identity the instant the phone rings? Do intuitive hunches contain information about future events? Is it possible to perceive without the use of the ordinary senses?

Many people believe that such “psychic phenomena” are rare talents or divine gifts. Others don’t believe they exist at all. But the latest scientific research shows that these phenomena are both real and widespread, and are an unavoidable consequence of the interconnected, entangled physical reality we live in.

Albert Einstein called entanglement “spooky action at a distance” — the way two objects remain connected through time and space, without communicating in any conventional way, long after their initial interaction has taken place. Could a similar entanglement of minds explain our apparent psychic abilities? Dean Radin, senior scientist at the Institute of Noetic Sciences, believes it might.

In this illuminating book, Radin shows how we know that psychic phenomena such as telepathy, clairvoyance, and psychokinesis are real, based on scientific evidence from thousands of controlled lab tests. Radin surveys the origins of this research and explores, among many topics, the collective premonitions of 9/11. He reveals the physical reality behind our uncanny telepathic experiences and intuitive hunches, and he debunks the skeptical myths surrounding them. Entangled Minds sets the stage for a rational, scientific understanding of psychic experience.

Scientist Dean Radin suggests that civilization is going through a developmental stage. Describing the world as made up of adolescent-like tribes, he says that it may take some great threat to force these tribes to work together.

In Dan Brown’s new book The Lost Symbol, the fictional character Katherine Solomon mentions “universal consciousness,” which is an ongoing topic of interest at the real-life Institute of Noetic Sciences.

For millennia, diverse spiritual traditions have described in many different ways aspects of what could be called a universal, or collective, consciousness—a “shared ground of being” that encompasses everyone and everything. Like the Zen master who goes up to the hot-dog vendor and says, “Make me one with everything,” mystics throughout the ages have reported experiences of feeling merged with God or with all of existence (at some level feeling no separation between them and all that is).

The psychologist Carl Jung postulated the existence of a “collective unconscious,” a concept that attempted to explain these and other subjective experiences, such as presentiment and synchronicity (for example, suddenly thinking of a long-lost friend and then the phone rings, with the friend on the other end of the line) or the existence of remarkably similar symbolism in ancient, isolated, or primitive cultures that had no prior contact with one another or the rest of the world.

Our survey and interview research at the Institute of Noetic Sciences has shown that these “unity” experiences have the potential to stimulate long-term changes in the way that people view themselves and the world around them. Some people who have had experiences like these seem to take things less personally, or they see all people as similar to themselves—as members of their ”in-group” no matter how different they appear on the surface. They may feel more compassionate toward the suffering of others, behave more altruistically, or forgive more easily. And they often report more meaning, richness, and joy in their lives.

At the Institute of Noetic Sciences, we are exploring this phenomenon in several ways. For example, we design and conduct studies to empirically test hypotheses consistent with the theory of a universal consciousness. If in fact there is a universal, shared aspect to consciousness, then does the intention or attention of one person affect the physiology of another person, even at a distance? And can this type of connection be demonstrated under rigorously controlled laboratory conditions?

We also conduct studies using social science approaches to systematically examine people’s experiences of oneness or universal consciousness and how it impacts their lives. What are the conditions under which these experiences take place? How do they feel, and how long do they last? What insights arise from them, and do those insights have lasting effects on coping, stress, or health and well-being? We are also exploring what happens in the electrical activity of the brain when people are actually experiencing these states of consciousness.

So, is there evidence for a universal consciousness that can be reliably measured and demonstrated in physical reality? From a purely empirical perspective, I’m not sure we have the answer yet, but we see hints in the affirmative.
