Eckhart Tolle @ Watkins Books 25th of October, 2013

Published on Oct 29, 2013
Eckhart Tolle is a German-born resident of Canada, best known as the author of The Power of Now and A New Earth. In 2011, he was listed by the Watkins Review as the most spiritually influential person in the world.

In 2008, a New York Times writer called Tolle “the most popular spiritual author in the United States.” Tolle has said that he was depressed for much of his life until he underwent, at age 29, an “inner transformation”. He then spent several years wandering and unemployed “in a state of deep bliss” before becoming a spiritual teacher. Later, he moved to North America where he began writing his first book, The Power of Now, which was published in 1997 and reached the New York Times Best Seller lists in 2000. Tolle settled in Vancouver, Canada, where he has lived for more than a decade.

The Power of Now and A New Earth sold an estimated three million and five million copies respectively in North America by 2009. In 2008, approximately 35 million people participated in a series of 10 live webinars with Tolle and television talk show host Oprah Winfrey.[6] Tolle is not identified with any particular religion, but he has been influenced by a wide range of spiritual works.

Rupert Spira – The Beginning of the End of the Separate Self

Nonduality author and teacher Rupert Spira talks about the beginning of the end of the separate self.

Rupert says whatever we are is not only aware but it is present. What we really are is ‘knowing presence’ or ‘aware presence’. Although we experience ourselves as separate individuals, in reality nothing cuts us off from our true nature. We never for a moment cease to be anything other than ‘aware presence’. But our true nature doesn’t have any objective qualities – it cannot be seen, heard, touched or tasted – so we tend to over look it. We therefore mistake ourselves as a combination of thoughts, sensations and ideas, as a separate individual. This results in a search for peace, happiness or love which are in fact inherent qualities of ‘knowing presence’, of what we truly are.

This clip is an extract of audio dialogue with Nic Higham entitled ‘Love Beckons Always’. The full-length version is available from http://www.nondualitynetwork.com

On the Path to Enlightenment: A Hope for Humanity by Chris Hamilton

On the Path to Enlightenment: A Hope for Humanity seeks to provide insight into the purpose of life. Author Chris Hamilton explains that it is the lessons we are learning in our everyday lives that define our life’s purpose. These lessons give us hope to move forward into the light through love, releasing fear and judgment as we find peace and listen to our inner voice. We also realise that we do have help in our daily life through the guidance we are each given on a daily basis. We were born to experience life in all its many facets-to find love and to live that love.

From personal tragedy in Chris’s life comes a warm story of understanding our spiritual side through this guidance and ultimately finding peace and forgiveness. She has received what she believes to be divine guidance over a period of time, some of which was channelled to uplift her in times of sadness, doubt, or frustration. She feels it has been given, not for her alone, but for everyone.

As our planet moves towards a higher dimension, we, mankind, must move forward with it if we are to remain on the earth in our physical forms. On the Path to Enlightenment seeks to help us make that move. “Profound and uplifting, this book by Chris Hamilton has grown from a long study of esoteric knowledge, channeled guidance, and personal tragedy.”

-Lawrence and Michael Sartorius, authors of The New Earth

Chris Hamilton was born in Melbourne, Australia, and led a quiet existence until the death of her teenage daughter in 1990. From that time her life has been one of searching for truth, both in the spiritual world and in this one. This book is a consequence of that search. Chris is now the proud grandmother of five adored grandchildren. Her passion for reading has led her to write several small books of poetry.

The Reality of Being: The Fourth Way of Gurdjieff by Jeanne De Salzmann

Based on notebooks kept by G. I. Gurdjieff ‘s closest follower, this book offers new insight on his spiritual teaching—a way of gnosis or “knowledge of being” passed on from remote antiquity. It is a complete and uniquely authoritative guide to the great teacher’s ideas and to his methods for liberating ourselves from the state of waking sleep in which most of us live our lives.

Gurdjieff respected traditional religious practices, which he regarded as falling into three general categories or ways: the Way of the Fakir, related to mastery of the physical body; the Way of the Monk, based on faith and feeling; and the Way of the Yogi, which focuses on development of the mind.

He presented his teaching as a Fourth Way which integrated these three aspects into a single path of self-knowledge. Progress in the Fourth Way comes through conscious effort toward a quality of thinking and feeling that brings a new capacity to see clearly and to love.

Jeanne de Salzmann (1889–1990) was born in France and pursued a career in music, dance, and theater. She met Gurdjieff in 1919 and became his closest pupil. Before his death in 1949, Gurdjieff directed de Salzmann to continue his work worldwide. She founded centers in New York, Paris, London, and Caracas, Venezuela. Madame, as she was called with respect, was an esteemed teacher in her own right, transmitting the Gurdjieff Work and especially his “Movements,” or sacred dances.

Oldest Buddhist Shrine Uncovered In Nepal May Push Back the Buddha’s Birth Date

Discovery: Buddha’s Birth Earlier Than Thought

The Buddha was born and lived as much as 300 years earlier than some previously thought. At one of Buddhism’s most revered pilgrimage sites, a National Geographic archaeologist’s team has uncovered evidence that the Buddha lived in the sixth century B.C., much earlier than some scholars had believed. The excavation at Lumbini, Nepal, long identified as the birthplace of the Buddha, revealed a previously unknown timber shrine once stood there, its walls mirroring more recent brick temples.

A documentary on Coningham’s exploration of the Buddha’s life, “Buried Secrets of the Buddha,” will premiere in February internationally on the National Geographic Channel.

The Five Dharma Types : Vedic Wisdom for Discovering Your Purpose and Destiny By Simon Chokoisky

About The Five Dharma Types
A handbook for unlocking the soul’s purpose and manifesting a fulfilling life

• Reinterprets the traditional Dharma system of ancient India as a map for revealing one’s true purpose

• Provides tests for determining one’s Dharma type

• Explains the benefits, challenges, and social, interpersonal, and health dynamics associated with each of the 5 Dharma types

Have you ever wondered why, despite great obstacles, some people achieve success, while others, though given everything, seem to squander it away? Or why some people, despite having very little, radiate joy, while others appear miserable though surrounded by opulence? The answer is Dharma: knowing your soul’s purpose and living it is the key to creating a fulfilling life.

Built on a deep body of Vedic knowledge, the ancient system of social structure and spiritual duty known as Dharma has modern applications for people seeking their life’s purpose. Author Simon Chokoisky explains the five Dharma archetypes–Warrior, Educator, Merchant, Laborer, and Outsider–and how your life’s purpose goes hand-in-hand with your Dharma type. Providing tests to determine your type, he outlines the benefits, challenges, emotional and learning styles, and social, interpersonal, and health dynamics associated with each type.

Chokoisky reveals how the Dharma types function as an operating system for your identity, helping you map your life and play to your innate strengths, whether in choosing a prosperous career or field of study or in facing health challenges and meeting fitness goals. By accepting and understanding the nature of your type, you begin to align with your true purpose and, regardless of fate, find joy and meaning in life.

The Sense of Being Stared At: And Other Unexplained Powers of the Human Mind by Rupert Sheldrake

Most of us know it well–the almost physical sensation that we are the object of someone’s attention. Is the feeling all in our heads? What about related phenomena, such as telepathy and premonitions? Are they merely subjective beliefs? In The Sense of Being Stared At, renowned biologist Rupert Sheldrake explores the intricacies of the mind and discovers that our perceptive abilities are stronger than most of us could have imagined.

Sheldrake argues persuasively in this compelling book that such phenomena are, in fact, real. He rejects the label of “paranormal” and shows how these psychic occurrences are in fact a normal part of human nature. Combining the tradition of pragmatic experimentation with a refusal to accept the conventional answers to explain such phenomena, Sheldrake pioneers an intriguing new inquiry into the mysteries of our deepest nature. Rigorously researched yet completely accessible, this groundbreaking book provides a refreshing new way of thinking about ourselves and our relationships with other people, animals, and the world around us.

There are 4 parts:
Part 1: Telepathy
Part 2: The Power of Attention
Part 3: Remote Viewing and Foreshadowings of the Future
Part 4: How does the 7th Sense Work?

The book begins by explaining how the “Sixth Sense” has already been claimed by biologists working on the electrical and magnetic senses of animals. Eels use electrical fields to sense objects around them, sharks and rays use similar fields to hunt, migratory birds and fish have a magnetic senses (biological compass), snakes have heat-sensing abilities, spiders detect web vibrations, etc.

Mr. Sheldrake explains how the 7th sense is biological, not supernatural. It extends beyond the body, though how is not exactly known. “To brush aside what people have experienced is not to be scientific, but unscientific. Science is founded on empirical method…” (experience and observation). “But despite an impresssive accumulation of evidence, psychic research has never been accepted within institutional sciences. It has been kept on the margins as a result of powerful taboos against the “paranormal.”

“In the background lurks the archaic fear of witchcraft.”
Rupert Sheldrake, Ph.D., is a former research fellow of the Royal Society and former director of studies in biochemistry and cell biology at Clare College, Cambridge University. From 2005 to 2012 he was director of the Perrott-Warrick Project on unexplained human abilities, funded from Trinity College, Cambridge. He is currently a fellow of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, near San Francisco, and a visiting professor at the Graduate Institute in Connecticut. He is the author of more than 80 technical papers and articles appearing in peer-reviewed scientific journals and 10 books, including Dogs That Know When Their Owners Are Coming Home, Morphic Resonance, and Science Set Free. He lives in London.

Rupert Sheldrake – Morphic Fields and Cosmic Consciousness

Rupert Sheldrake discusses his concept of Morphic Fields. In this conversation he makes reference to the morphic fields of the planets, the solar system and the galaxy! He also mentions the value of gratitude, explains his journey from standard western atheism through India, psychedelics all the way to Christianity. He is for me one of the worlds greatest minds and listening to him is absolutely inspiring.

God’s Hotel: A Doctor, a Hospital, and a Pilgrimage to the Heart of Medicine ~ Victoria Sweet

San Francisco’s Laguna Honda Hospital is the last almshouse in the country, a descendant of the Hôtel-Dieu (God’s hotel) that cared for the sick in the Middle Ages. Ballet dancers and rock musicians, professors and thieves—“anyone who had fallen, or, often, leapt, onto hard times” and needed extended medical care—ended up here. So did Victoria Sweet, who came for two months and stayed for twenty years.
Laguna Honda, relatively low-tech but human-paced, gave Sweet the opportunity to practice a kind of attentive medicine that has almost vanished. Gradually, the place transformed the way she understood her work. Alongside the modern view of the body as a machine to be fixed, her extraordinary patients evoked an older idea, of the body as a garden to be tended. God’s Hotel tells their story and the story of the hospital itself, which, as efficiency experts, politicians, and architects descended, determined to turn it into a modern “health care facility,” revealed its own surprising truths about the essence, cost, and value of caring for the body and the soul.

Victoria Sweet has been a physician at San Francisco’s Laguna Honda Hospital for more than twenty years. Anassociate clinical professor of medicine at the University of California, San Francisco, she is also a prize-winning historian with a Ph.D. in history and social medicine.

Authors@Google: Dr. Victoria Sweet, “God’s Hotel”

Authors@Google presents Dr. Victoria Sweet, “God’s Hotel: A Doctor, a Hospital and a Pilgrimage to the Heart of Medicine”

Dr. Victoria Sweet will tell stories of her remarkable patients at Laguna Honda Hospital in San Francisco, with their surprising answers to our healthcare crisis, based on her highly-praised new book, God’s Hotel: A Doctor, a Hospital and a Pilgrimage to the Heart of Medicine. Recently published on April 26, 2012, God’s Hotel made the SF Chronicle’s Best Sellers list in its first week out, and has garnered strong praise from Booklist, Kirkus Reviews, Publisher’s Weekly, and fellow physician-writers such as Oliver Sacks. Victoria is a fantastic story-teller and has unique insights on medical care, advocating an approach she calls “Slow Medicine”.

About the book: San Francisco’s Laguna Honda Hospital is the last almshouse in the country, a descendant of the Hôtel-Dieu (God’s Hotel) that cared for the sick in the Middle Ages. Ballet dancers and rock musicians, professors and thieves — “anyone who had fallen, or, often, leapt, onto hard times” and needed extended medical care — ended up there. Dr. Sweet ended up there herself, as a physician. And though she came for only a two-month stay, she remained for twenty years.

At Laguna Honda, lower-tech but human-paced, Dr. Sweet had the chance to practice a kind of “slow medicine” that has almost vanished. Gradually, the place and its patients transformed the way she understood the body. Alongside the modern view of the body as a machine to be fixed, her patients evoked an older notion, of the body as a garden to be tended. TALKING TO EXTRATERRESTRIALS : Transforming Our World with the Help of Enlightened Beings ~ Lisette Larkins

Join a group of enlightened extraterrestrials, who extend an invitation through their contactee, Lisette Larkins. They tell us that they are here now and offer to help us along the way as we gently shift toward a peaceful future.

The first edition of Talking to Extraterrestrials was first published in 2002. Since that time the author has had repeated contact with these ETs, and developed a broader spiritual perspective that she shares in this revised and expanded second edition. While earlier she struggled with the emotional fallout from her encounters, this expanded text now focuses on the promise of humanity’s betterment as a result of embracing our true spiritual power as creative beings. Only by recognizing our innate abilities can we effectively design the experiences we desire.

Our universal neighbors describe the way they relate to each other, raise their children, and conduct their peaceful society. They inspire us to become fully empowered, creative beings adept at manifestation. They explain why they have not yet landed on the White House lawn, but that our expanding spiritual readiness will soon allow clearer evidence of their presence here.

Lisette Larkins offers us a glimpse into a way of being where we too can create the life of our dreams, and become adept at magically producing whatever is needed to thrive. They inspire and challenge us to perceive of ourselves and them as neighbors within the same community of families and to accept our responsibility as self-reliant masters of creation.

Lisette Larkins has had extraordinary extraterrestrial encounters since childhood. The importance of them was to reveal to her the possibility of experiencing a “chronic state of well-being” and to inspire the recognition that, as spiritual beings in human bodies, we are designed to create to the same degree and with the same ability as extraterrestrials do! This means that the very purpose of our soul is to allow our imagination to run free and to be, do, and have anything and everything we want. We are designed to be Creative Beings! When we are not in the process of creating, we are actually spiraling downward. But we cannot create what we want when we are not feeling good

Jupiter Venus Connection Until March 2014

There is currently an opposition between Jupiter and Venus in the sky. These two planets are both “givers” in that they give things we want in life. yet the things they give are often at odds with each other.

Venus and Jupiter Aspect – Connection Through March 2014 – VIDEO

Published on Nov 22, 2013

Jupiter is related to higher teachings and things that give our life meaning and hope beyond the things we want to possess and enjoy in the moment – things such as physical pleasure and other people. These Jupiter things take the form of children, teachers and deep life teachings. Those higher teachings evoke parts of our being that are not necessarily interested in short-term happiness and pleasure.

Whereas the joys and pleasures of life are related to Venus. They take up a lot of our time and energy as well. Relationships with all people and all of the desires we want to fulfill in this world come from Venus. Yet, Venus comes after Jupiter in the planetary order, because all of those high, abstract principles and teachings need to be connected to other people and need to be a source of joy and bliss (Venus).

You may be feeling a pull between satisfying your desires / partners and your higher purpose at the moment as Venus and Jupiter are getting very close to an exact opposition.

Between now and March 2014 these two planets will be facing off, in the Gemini / Sagittarius axis – the axis of “Belief” and “Testing our Belief”. We should all prepare for some major shakeups and re-calibrations of the relationship paradigm real soon.

Dan Chesboro

Published on May 20, 2013

Dan Chesbro was born in Groton, Connecticut on August 22, 1944. His intuitive abilities awakened in childhood with dreams and “feelings” of guidance. As a college student at the University of Connecticut, experiences guided him to pursue a ministerial career. Following seminary training at Andover Newton Theological School, Crozer Seminary, and Colgate Divinity School, Rev. Chesbro became an American Baptists Minister serving congregations in Boston, Philadelphia, and Rochester & Webster, New York. At age 33 he began traveling to spiritual conferences teaching, counseling, lecturing and appearing on radio and television. For several years he hosted a cable television program called, “The Open Door”. His work has taken him all over the United States, to Canada, Europe, India, Tibet and Egypt.

In 1980 he founded a non-denominational church, Sanctuary of the Beloved, and in 1983, established the educational corporation, Visions of Tomorrow, which sponsored conferences at Geneseo State College, New York beginning in the summer of 1985. He re-established the ancient Order of Melchizedek in 1986, which now has about 17,000 men and women of every race and from many religious disciplines. The Order of Melchizedek does not discriminate by race, age, gender, religion, life style, etc., but is an unconditional love response to world service. The main function of the Order is to teach love and to heal in this period of the transformation on earth. Rev. Chesbro has been ordaining individuals at Lake Harriet Spiritual Community every year since the late 1980’s, and was invited to be the pastor.

The Old Testament prophet, Samuel, created the School for the Prophets to further the sacred teachings of Melchizedek. It remained a cornerstone for the education and dissemination of the ancient wisdom for centuries. The Essene community based its creation on the teachings of Melchizedek, the Teacher of Righteousness. Rev. Chesbro has established a School for the Prophets in an effort to provide a foundation for the teachings of Melchizedek in the Age of Aquarius, and to create a body of teachers to offer the world community access to the ancient and present truths. The course is based mostly on the channeled teachings of Edgar Cayce, and is not limited to the Judeo/Christian history or myths.

Dan combines sensitive intuitive abilities with a ministerial background, psychological training, metaphysical knowledge and a wonderful sense of humor to teach, guide and enhance the lives of those he encounters. He encourages other to self love, self confidence, balance and the pursuit of their Higher Spiritual Self. Persons form all backgrounds, professions and walks of life on both sides of the Atlantic and coast to coast have consulted with him. Consultations have included personality; health; economics; personal problems; career; communication with the deceased; and spiritual matters in the past, present, or future. As a minister, Rev. Chesbro has had years of counseling experience in personal, marital, and family areas, and has combined this with an intuitive and psychic sense, helping many people to a better and more satisfying life. http://sanctuaryofthebeloved.com
