Meditation and Intimacy, Shauna Shapiro

Published on Jan 23, 2015
Enlightenment is intimacy with all things says Suzuki Roshi. Mindfullness is key to intimacy. This moment-to-moment way of being can deepen and expand intimacy, intro-, inter- and transpersonally. However, it can also be used as a way to distance, dissociate and detach, actually dampening our contact with the world instead of enlivening it. This presentation explores the promises and perils of mindfulness, weaving together image, metaphor, science and practice.
