The Aware Show’s Radiant Body Summit – Dr. Baskaran Pillai Interviewed by Lisa Garr

Streamed live on Jun 19, 2015

What is difference between consciousness and awareness? What is the sound of happiness? How can you manifest the perfect light body?

If you are interested in the answer to these questions, then you should watch this Radiant Body Summit segment, where Lisa Garr interviews Dr. Baskaran Pillai, a teacher of the Siddha tradition. Dr. Pillai gives us the origins and basis for the sound phonemes and explains how they work to remove you from your mind and allow you to access divine intelligence.

Dr. Pillai takes us through a deep understanding of time, the mind, the body… and the infinite. He tells us that we conceive a thought in one 3,240,000th of a second, and after that it just the mind trying to find the right words for it. This space where you have a non-linguistic presence, he says is the point of creation for all things your physical body experiences.

Some come to a place where the observer is the observed, and nothingness is the truth. Learn about sound waves and the science of the mantra. Watch or listen to this interview now.

Laozi and Quantum Physics — Shantena Augusto Sabbadini

Published on Jul 30, 2015

Theoretical Physicist Sabbadini presents the quandary of Quantum
Mechanics, and draws illumination from Tao Te Ching.

Ancient and primitive cultures conceived the whole cosmos as alive and sentient. The mainstream current of our culture has moved towards an ever greater separation of matter and mind and today’s dominant scientific world view is based on an essentially materialistic representation of reality, in which consciousness is considered an epiphenomenon of purely material process. Yet it can be argued that the obstinate persistence of the so called measurement problem in quantum physics is a symptom pointing to the need to radically rethink the way in which we represent reality. This talk proposes an understanding of the quantum
measurement process in which the embodied nature of the observer plays an essential role. And it will show an amazing congruence between this world view and the cosmology
outlined in the first chapter of Laozi’s Daodejing.

Lisa Garr: Becoming More Aware

Published on Jul 30, 2015

There is a moment-to-moment awareness that mindfulness practitioners advocate – but this awareness is only really helpful if it rests on a deep and profound relationship with ourselves. The awareness that Lisa Garr discusses with Barnet and Freeman, on this episode of the show, is more aligned with compassionate self-acceptance. Out of this type of self-awareness, mindfulness becomes a wonderful tool to focus our attention and direct our choices. Without compassionate self-acceptance, mindfulness practices can actually be a distraction.
