4 Ways Your Spirit Guides Are Trying To Connect With You

Who Are Your Spirit Guides And How Can They Help You?
By James Van Praagh

Life can be complicated! Fortunately, you don’t have to navigate through it alone. In addition to an earthly support group of friends and family, every one of us has at least one spirit guide or guardian angel to step in when life gets challenging. Your spirit guides bring the wisdom and perspective of many lifetimes, and, best of all, they have no personal agenda! They are simply here to help YOU on your soul journey

Who Are Your Spirit Guides?

Your guides are a part of your soul. Some have been with you for many lifetimes, while others are there for a just short time. Some may be family members who have recently passed, or ancient ancestors who died centuries ago.

Many guides have not lived a human life at all. That is the case with my master guide, Andrew. Andrew helps me to connect with Spirit people, and he protects and supports me in other areas in my life as well. When I first channeled Andrew he said that he was “of an infinite light”, meaning that he is of a higher level, and has never existed on a human level.

Some guides will show up to help you with a particular activity – like a muse, they provide divine inspiration to artists, writers, even healers. The important thing to remember is that all guides work with you to insure that you learn the lessons you were sent down to this earth to experience.

Open Yourself Up To Receive Support And Guidance

To recognize messages from your guides, you must be open and receptive to hearing them. That’s difficult when you’re caught up in the hustle of daily life. Slow down. Take a few minutes each day to meditate, and tune into your inner knowing. Then, when your mind is clear, take a few breaths and send a thought message to your guides. You can ask them a question or request their assistance in a particular area of your life. Then watch for them. Be mindful of any signs and coincidences that present themselves to you. You’ll start to become familiar with the methods your guides will utilize to come through to you. Remember, each guide connects differently, and each person receives differently.

How Spirit Guides Reach Out To You

Guides will come through in various ways.

1. You might notice various synchronicities and patterns occurring. Pay attention because these signal something you need to know!

2. When your guides are within your space you will feel a sense of joy or an acceleration of energy surrounding you. Pay close attention and begin to listen with your gut.

3. Also be mindful if there is a sudden, unexpected change in your emotions. Guides may be attempting to get through to you in this manner – it’s a very effective method of getting you to pay attention.

4. Your guides will also bring people in your life for very important lessons. These “chance” encounters may have been set up months or years ahead of earth time from the spiritual realms in order for you to have a meaningful experience.

Geneviève De Coux was born in 1947 in Namur, Belgium during her parents’ holidays. The family lived in the Belgian Congo. Geneviève and her brother enjoyed an idyllic childhood until 1960, the year of the Congo’s independence. The family emigrated to Belgium.

Their paradise was lost. Geneviève found herself in Brussels, this radical change of scenery stoked the fire of her ontological search and she found refuge in art. In 1968 during her second year at the university while studying her philosophy paper, she stumbled upon a saying of Socrates which hit her straight in the heart: “Know thyself”! Realising that this was precisely what she had always been looking for, she instantly dropped her studies and set out for India by road in search of a living Socrates or Buddha.

On reaching the Himalayan foot-hills, she led a meditative and ascetic life by the Ganges in Rishikesh, waiting to meet her master. The locals called her Mira because of her devoted renunciation. At the end of 1968, in circumstances well worthy of Indian mythology, she met a man with whom she had an awakening experience. He left the following day without Mira knowing anything about him, neither his name nor his address. The one certainty was that finally she had found her master. To give herself the best chance of seeing him again, she decided to live at the exact spot of their meeting. For eight months she waited for him and meditated under a little tree on the banks of the Ganga river.

One day, her master, H.W.L.Poonja, a disciple of Ramana Maharishi, came back for her. She became his disciple and wife and started to travel with him. In 1971, H.W.L Poonja was invited to give Satsang in Europe and Mira accompanied him. Their daughter Mukti was born in 1972 and the little family went on travelling the world. For the education of her daughter Mira returned to Belgium. In 1990, H.W.L Poonja, also called Papaji, settled permanently in Lucknow where he gave Satsang every day until he passed away in 1997.

In 1998, Mira was invited to give satsang, which she continues giving to this day all over the world. She decided to call herself Ganga. In 2004 Ganga Mira moved to Portugal. She lives near the wild ocean of the Algarve with her daughter Mukti and her grand-children, Arun and Satya, and gives satsang four times a week.

Spontaneous Ascension: Stunning New Evidence

Enlightenment Myths: Kill the Mind – Nondual Vedanta – James Swartz

Published on May 21, 2016

You (Jiva) “create” a reaction, an interpretation to the objects presented to you.

The Jiva is not experiencing what is actually there, the Jiva always only experiences its own projections, likes and dislikes (vasanas).

That is the reason why the Jiva has such a problem. Because our vasanas distort reality. We perceive reality based on our beliefs and opinions.

The logical question is, how to get rid of those projections?
Should we just remove the world?
This is the experiential Yogic idea of getting rid of your thoughts because the world is in your mind.
Thus, if you get rid of your mind you get rid of the world!
As a consequence you are in Samadhi (blissful meditative state) all the time and happy. There are no problems if there is no world present!

The appearance of the world can temporarily be removed by Yoga
but the complete removal of mental projections is not possible without Self-Knowledge.

Once Self-Knowledge is firm, you realize that the reality of the world is just a belief.

The important question is: Who realizes once the world disappeared? Who realizes the removal of the world in Nirvikalpa Samadhi?
Who needs Self-Knowledge once you come out of Samadhi? Who are you once you come out of the meditative state? A jiva (individual)?

By removing the world, you don’t remove yourself (awareness)!
I am present without my mind (ego), I am even present without the world!

So, Yoga is good! As long as you have a teaching!

Andrew Rawlinson ‘THE HIT’ Interview by Iain McNay

Andrew Rawlinson ‘THE HIT’ Interview by Iain McNay
Author of ‘The Hit – Into The Rock’N’Roll Universe And Beyond’ and ‘The Book Of Enlightened Masters – Western Teachers in Eastern Traditions.’
Andrew Talks about his life and how he was aware that he was continually ‘hit’ by realisations, small and large, that enabled him to see through his conditioning. ‘The HIT is both a grace and a disturbance.
All worlds are a show..
Reality is open
It is constantly transforming itself
It goes beyond itself
It is where illusion begins

All derangements are connected. Like sub atomic particles they just keep reflecting each other jumping between each other and turning into each other. Just like a magic trick where certainty and deception change places.
It’s a jungle, as soon as you find a path you loose it.

Everybody is looking for who they are ——- but they are nobody
Not only is the world stranger than you imagine – it is stranger than you can imagine. And we are all collaborators in creation.
And what is it to collaborate? To know that we are the mirror as well as the face in it, pain and what cures pain. This is the expanse of spirit: rich and dark.
Yes, it’s the Gods who are rocking us, who are looking for someone to receive them.
There is really no reality without identity, and identity is a show.’

Leonard Jacobson: The Larger Womb Of The Present Moment

When you were born, you moved from a womb that became too small for you (your mother’s womb),
to a much larger womb ( the world you were being born into).

But you did not have the opportunity to complete that transition. You got caught in the trauma of separation that occurred at birth and instead of entering a world of Oneness, you entered a world of separation.

It was a gradual transition as you joined your parents in the past and future world of the mind. If your parents had been fully present and awake, and not lost in the mind, they could have guided you through the trauma of separation into the present moment. The feeling of separation that arose in the birth process would have subsided and you would have developed within a world of Presence and Oneness. But your parents were not present. They did not know how to guide you into the present moment. Instead they guided you into their world of the mind. It is not their fault. That is what happened to them, and it is passed down, generation to generation.

The whole point of awakening is to return to that larger womb, which is existence itself, revealed through the present moment. You will feel safe. You will feel connected to everything. You will experience Oneness. Now you can evolve into your true nature. Now your true destiny can unfold.

The Third Mystical Law: All is Illusion

This is one of the more baffling mystical truths, because every one of your five senses will tell you otherwise.

We enter illusion when we start asking why. Left to your own imagination, you will more than likely reach into the vast resources of your memory archives and fill the void of “why” with some negative association from your past or negative projection in the present. It’s what we do. We tend to fill voids with something negative – a fear or insecurity.

How do you know why things happen as they do? You don’t. You have no idea and you never will. Much less are you capable of knowing what must take place today in order that certain events unfold one or two years or a decade from now.

Why events happen as they do in your life, from the grandest or most devastating to the most seemingly insignificant, is beyond your ability to know. You can no more distinguish what is significant from what is insignificant, if such a thing as insignificant exists at all. Whether something brings you pain or pleasure, happiness or sadness, is not the arbiter of what really matters, which most of us should have learned by now. Those feelings are just temporary responses to your experiences, and even your responses are illusions. You are happy one day, sad the next, melancholy on the third day, bored on the fourth, ecstatic on the fifth, exhausted on the sixth, and on the seventh day you’re confused about the whole of your life.

To believe that anything can remain perfect, successful, or healthy forever is always just a wishful illusion.

What you can do:

Turn to the higher truths, reminding yourself: “No one has done anything to hurt or reject me. No one can empower me or disempower me. To believe otherwise is an illusion. It can look and feel that way, because of my own personal needs, but I am in charge of my needs. So, I forgive all these people who I believed had deliberately hurt or rejected me. That, too, was an illusion. They never plotted to reject or hurt me. I projected expectations onto them based on my own desires and they failed to live up to my imagined plans for them.”

How do I “achieve” nondual Love? Nonduality Vedanta Wisdom by James Swartz

Published on May 18, 2016

How do I get NonDual Love?

Well, it starts with some uncomfortable recommendations:
One gains devotion by giving up sense gratifications and associations with worldly objects.

It is obvious that nondual love does not come for free. There are qualifications necessary.

This is what I mean by saying: You cannot have your cake and eat it too.
You cannot assume to continue smoking, drinking, etc.
You have to let go of those tamasic and rajasic habits that disturb your mind.

If you think you can get nondual love and devotion and keep your bad habits and associations with useless people, it is not going to work.

Whenever you are around bad, useless people you get the same vibrations in you, your freedom is gone. This is just the way it is.

You have to look into your habits and lifestyle and make the necessary changes.

What do you do instead?
Keep your mind constantly on awareness, on the self.
You need to ritualize a devotional style of life!
Develop spiritual Vasanas (habits). Replace your worldly vasanas (sex, drugs, entertainment,…) with spiritual vasanas (meditation, praying, studying and listening the scriptures, going to satsangs,…).

Once this lifestyle change has been fully implemented nondual bhaktas (devotionalists) see awareness shining in everything!

Tears to Triumph: The Spiritual Journey from Suffering to Enlightenment by Marianne Williamson

The internationally recognized teacher, speaker, and New York Times bestselling author of A Return to Love argues that our desire to avoid pain is actually detrimental to our lives, disconnecting us from our deepest emotions and preventing true healing and spiritual transcendence.

Marianne Williamson is a bestselling author, world-renowned teacher, and one of the most important spiritual voices of our time. In Tears to Triumph, she argues that we—as a culture and as individuals—have learned to avoid facing pain. By doing so, we are neglecting the spiritual work of healing.

Instead of allowing ourselves to embrace our hurt, we numb it, medicate it, dismiss it, or otherwise divert our attention so that we never have to face it. In refusing to acknowledge our suffering, we actually prolong it and deny ourselves the opportunity for profound wisdom—ultimately limiting our personal growth and opportunity for enlightenment. Frozen by denial, we are left standing in the breech. Whole industries profit from this immobility, and while they have grown rich, we have become spiritually poorer.

As Marianne makes clear, true healing and transcendence can only come when we finally face our pain and wrestle with what it has to teach us. Written with warm compassion and profound wisdom, Tears to Triumph offers us a powerful way forward through the pain, to a deeper awareness of our feelings, our lives, and our true selves.

Marianne Williamson is an internationally acclaimed author, speaker, and activist. Six of her ten published books have been New York Times bestsellers. Her books include A Return to Love, A Year of Miracles, The Law of Divine Compensation, The Gift of Change, The Age of Miracles, Everyday Grace, A Woman’s Worth, Illuminata, and A Course in Weight Loss. She has been a popular guest on television programs such as Oprah, Good Morning America, and Charlie Rose.

TEARS TO TRIUMPH
—from the Preface, TEARS TO TRIUMPH

“This book is a spiritual reflection on human suffering, both its cause and its transcendence. Spirituality is not some pale-pink, gauzy, psychologically unsophisticated understanding of the world. Rather, it represents the most profound elucidation of how the mind operates and how it filters our experience. It recognizes the extraordinary depth of our most fundamental yearning—our yearning for love— and the extraordinary pain that we feel when we don’t find it.

There is an epidemic of depression in our world today, and a myriad of options for how to treat it. Just as there are natural remedies for disease within the body, there are natural remedies for disease within the mind. And by a “natural remedy” for depression I do not mean herbs or homeopathic remedies; I mean the practical application of love and forgiveness as a medicine for the soul.

As a society, we invite deep sadness by trivializing love. We have sold our souls for a mess of pottage. Human existence is not just a random episode, with no higher purpose than that all of us should get what we want. Seen that way, with no overlay of spirit, our lives seem to have no ultimate meaning. And the soul craves meaning the way the body craves oxygen. In the absence of a spiritual framework, we know the mechanics of life but stop short of understanding it. Failing to understand life, we misuse it. And misusing it, we cause suffering—for ourselves and for others.

Every great religious and spiritual philosophy speaks to the issue of human suffering. This book only touches the surface of the spiritual depth of insight available in the great religious and spiritual teachings of the world, but hopefully it gets to a point often obscured behind veils of dogma and misunderstanding.

Buddha’s spiritual journey began when he saw suffering for the first time; Moses was moved by the suffering of the Israelites; and Jesus suffered on the cross. But the point is not simply that Buddha saw suffering; the point is that he transcended it through his enlightenment. The point is not simply that the Israelites were enslaved; the point is that they were rescued and led to the Promised Land. The point is not simply that Jesus was crucified; the point is that he was resurrected. Human suffering was only the first part of an equation; what matters most is what happened after God showed His hand.

We too are suffering and observe suffering all around us; we too are enslaved by an internal pharaoh; and we too are dying on the cross of the world’s cruelty and lack of reverence. Whether it occurred thousands of years ago or is occurring today, suffering is suffering, oppression is oppression, and cruelty is cruelty. These things are not ancient realities that don’t exist anymore. They’re not gone.

And neither is God’s power to eradicate them. Spirit enlightened Buddha; Spirit delivered the Israelites; and Spirit resurrected Jesus. If we know our suffering is the same as theirs, it makes sense to seek a deeper understanding of their deliverance that we might more easily invoke our own. How arrogant we are, and how blind, to think that our suffering is the same as it’s always been, yet somehow we’ve improved on ways to deal with it. Are any of us under the impression that Buddha could have transcended suffering by making more money, getting a better job, or buying a better car? Or that the Israelites could have escaped slavery if they’d had another round of negotiations with Pharaoh or a private jet to take them to the Promised Land? Or that Jesus could have risen from the dead if only cryonics had been around then?

Humanity, over the past few hundred years, has lessened the incidence of some forms of suffering and increased the incidence of others. We’ve diminished the threat of polio, but increased the threat of nuclear disaster. We’ve diminished the dangers of travel, but increased the chances that our entire ecosystem will implode. And if we think we don’t do “rape and pillage” anymore, take a look at what’s going on around the world.

There is no worldly solution to the suffering, or self-destructiveness, of humanity today that can compare to the solutions offered by the great religions and spiritual philosophies of the world. Which is exactly why the ego mind has sought to co-opt them for its purposes. It has turned the power of peace into the power of the sword, both within the world and within our hearts.

Today’s search for spiritual sustenance is not confined to a particular teaching. There is no right or wrong when it comes to Buddhism, or Judaism, or Christianity, or Islam, or Hinduism. They are all kaleidoscopic facets of one essential diamond. Whether we relate personally to the story of Buddha, Moses, Jesus, Mohammed, or Krishna; whether we understand truth more deeply when it is expressed by Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, or A Course in Miracles; the essential themes at the heart of all these teachings are universal. They apply to all people, and most significantly, to all times.

The great religious figures and teachings of the world are God’s gifts, a divine hand reaching down to touch the minds of those who are called to them. While the ego uses the outer aspects of these teachings to divide us—sometimes even as justification to destroy one another—their inner truths unite us by teaching us how to live with each other. On an internal level, the great religions of the world have always led to miracles. On an external level, they have as often led to violence and destruction. That must change, and will change, as more people come to recognize the mystical truths, the inner gold, that lie within them all. The greatest opportunity for humanity’s survival in the twenty-first century lies not in widening our external horizons, but in deepening our internal ones. That applies to us personally, and it applies to us collectively.

And we will be sad until we do. Our bodies, our relationships, our careers, our politics, will continue to be sources of suffering when they should rather be sources of joy. Hidden within all great spiritual teachings is the key to turning that around. Once we find the key, and turn the key, we are amazed by what lies hidden behind the door that’s been locked to God. We’re not without hope; we just haven’t been seeing it. We’re not without power; we just haven’t been claiming it. We’re not without love; we just haven’t been living it.

Seeing these things, our lives begin to change. Our minds are awakened. Miracles happen. And at last our hearts are glad.”

Tom Thompson is a teacher of Conscious Living.

In 1982 Tom began teaching Conscious Living at the Woodbury Yoga Center in Connecticut, and in 1990 at The Awakened Heart Center in North Carolina.

Conscious Living is an all-inclusive way of life. It includes the possibility of radical awakening along with the integration of body, emotions, mind and spirit; living skillfully and effectively in this world; and being in loving, empowering relationships.

In 1964, at the age of fifteen, Tom became a student of human psychology and a practitioner of the yogic pathways and enlightenment traditions. He has had the great fortune of training in depth with a number of exceptional teachers in both the enlightenment traditions and western psychology.

While pursuing spiritual realization, Tom had many jobs in many different fields. All were important in terms of his personal growth and evolution, but the most important was working 13 years as a mental health worker in psychiatry.

He has extensive training and experience in several different therapeutic modalities including hypnotherapy, transactional analysis, human potential, energy psychology and HeartMath®.

After many years of intense practice and experiences in several different spiritual traditions, a sudden awakening occurred that led to the spontaneous collapse and falling away of all identification with spiritual and psychological belief systems, traditions, gurus, concepts, and the experience of a separate, unique, individual self. Now there is this, as it is, and as it appears to happen.

The teachings of Conscious Living are direct, obvious, and all-inclusive. There is nothing to be believed or accepted, as they are self-evident. They point to the incredible gift and mystery of life, living us here and now, as we are.

Tom lives with his best friend, partner and wife Bonnie. He also has a daughter Kelly, son-in-law Chad and grandson Caden.

Lucidity, Poetic Synthesis and Creative Consciousness – Fariba Bogzaran

Lucidity, Poetic Synthesis and Creative Consciousness

The creative mind and the dreaming mind share a similar space. In creative process, the spontaneous epistemic uncertainty allows innovation and insights. The dreaming consciousness unfolds narrative tapestry of images, sound, thoughts and emotions. Metacognition in dreams (lucidity) becomes a new event to witness and participate inside the mind’s creative action. In this presentation, through poetic synthesis, projected images and music, the space of lucid mind is invoked. The presentation’s goal is to create the “dream space” in waking to allow the unexpected and creative consciousness emerges in lucid waking.

Fariba Bogzaran founded the Dream Studies Program at JFK
University where she taught for 25 years. She conducted the first major scientific research project on transpersonal experiences in lucid dreaming. Her art-based research focused on the phenomenology of lucid dreaming and modern painting, which led to the concept of Lucid Art. With painter Gordon Onslow Ford, she co-founded the Lucid Art Foundation in 1998. Her publications include: Extraordinary Dreams and How to Work with Them; Lucid Art and Hyperspace Lucidity; and Integral Dreaming: A Holistic Approach to Dreams. She is adjunct professor at CIIS.

The Dark Side Of Spirituality by Luke Miller

I think it’s safe to say that spirituality is indeed a good thing. The problem is that some people can enter the spiritual world with a pre conceived misconception that it is going to be an all-round positive experience.

Spirituality is not one thing and can be expressed in multiple ways. Some will find enlightenment through their work, others through religion, others through spiritual practice like meditation and yoga, others through the use of psychedelics and others by just expressing themselves in a positive way through kindness, compassion and love. No matter how you find the spirit within you, there is no right way of doing it.

What is spirituality? Spirituality is a very misunderstood term, some equate it to religion and while it can be related it is not an exclusively religious thing.

The spirit is the essence of a person, that elusive thing within us that makes us naturally behave in certain ways. When the mind is quite and all is peaceful all that’s left is the spirit.

You have your 4 levels of health- the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. All but the spirit are easily defined, measurable and explainable, the spiritual side of things is a little more mystical and hard to explain in a short sentence. But it is still a real thing.

One thing that will be present in all spiritual practice is consciousness. Consciousness is hard to define as is spirituality because again it is not one thing, but to make things simple consciousness on an individual level is your awareness of a thing, even if that thing is nothing.

One of the problems that can arise as a result of expanding your consciousness or awareness is a hard slap around the face of reality. It’s almost like The Matrix’s when Morpheus offers Neo the red or blue pill. Once you take that red pill reality can be hard to comprehend.

Spiritual practice and the expansion of your consciousness is like dissolving a barrier that has been slowly put up throughout your childhood and adulthood- through education, society’s expectations and family and friends.

Once this barrier is down it opens up the floodgates for all the good there is, but also the darker side of the world.

Firstly if you look at the collective consciousness you will see a lot of disharmony between people. As you walk down the street you will see peoples pain and on a global scale you will see how terrible the wars and suffering are. That’s not to say you didn’t see some of this before but once awakened it can be hard to ignore.

The second thing is your individual consciousness, once activated this spiritual awareness is like the holding up of a mirror and while it will help us to see the good in ourselves and others it can also help us to see the mistakes we are making and where we are going wrong.

Spirituality makes you face your flaws, the pain you have caused and the negativity which lies within you. Sometimes it can make you question who you are and what you stand for. It will also help you to realise the pain you have locked away and at times this can be a lot to bear.

One of the things that is common to experience is an initial feeling of euphoria when you reach a certain level of spiritual development and while this euphoric feeling is great it can often set you up for unrealistic expectation of yourself and others.

For some it will manifest in an expectation of others to understand your process and while it is good to have people around you who are on a similar path, it is ultimately an individual journey.

Another misconception is that a spiritual awakening is the end goal, when in reality it is just the start, it’s a bit like capturing a wild lion and expecting it to be tame. You have to nurture your spirit and continue to ask questions. Sometimes you will not like the answers and at other times the answers will not always be clear, but if you persevere you will find what you are looking for.

Taking the road of spirituality can be both the most difficult and rewarding thing you will ever do and it’s important not to get attached to your current situation, you will usually find that the dots connect and nothing you have ever done has been pointless.

One of the most important things you can do to minimize stress and anxiety, is to trust the process and know that if you continue to move towards your goals the only thing that can stand in the way is time or if you decide to give up.

When you can separate the darkness which we all have from the light and understand that both are normal and necessary it will make the road a lot less bumpy. Different states of mind serve different purposes and when you get to know your own emotional cycles and how they affect you, you can use these states to perform at your peak.

Ultimately making a conscious effort to grow spiritually is the best decision anyone can make. Spirituality will inform you of the truth, positive or negative and once you can face that truth in your own life growth will be inevitable!

A WAY TO GOD: Thomas Merton’s Creation Spirituality Journey ~ Matthew Fox

This powerful book was prompted by an invitation Matthew Fox received to speak on the centennial of Thomas Merton’s birth. Fox says that much of the trouble he’s gotten into — such as being expelled from the Dominican Order in 1993, after thirty-four years, by Cardinal Ratzinger (who later became Pope Benedict) — was because of Merton, who prompted Fox to attend the Institut Catholique in Paris to undertake a doctoral program in spirituality.

Fox reimmersed himself in Merton’s journals, poetry, and religious writings, finding that Merton’s marriage of mysticism and prophecy, contemplation and action closely paralleled that of Meister Eckhart, the thirteenth-century mystic who inspired Fox’s own Creation Spirituality. In A Way to God, Fox explores Merton’s pioneering work in interfaith, his essential teachings on mixing contemplation and action, and how the vision of Meister Eckhart profoundly influenced Merton in what Fox calls his Creation Spirituality journey.

A Way to God creates a methodology for understanding the vast contributions that Merton made to the history of spirituality. Readers will rediscover the beauty and depth of Merton’s thinking and his pioneering work in bridging the religions, as well as discover a new dimension to Merton: his journey as a Creation Spirituality pilgrim.

Matthew Fox is an internationally acclaimed theologian and spiritual maverick who has spent the past forty years revolutionizing Christian theology, taking on patriarchal religion, and advocating for a creation-centered spirituality of compassion, justice, and resacralizing of the earth. Originally a Catholic priest, Fox was silenced for a year and then expelled from the Dominican Order by Cardinal Ratzinger for teaching liberation theology and Creation Spirituality. Fox currently serves as an Episcopal priest, having received what he calls “religious asylum” from the Episcopal Church. With exciting results, he has worked with young people to create the Cosmic Mass to revitalize worship by bringing elements of rave and other postmodern art forms to the Western liturgical tradition. He has written more than thirty books, which have sold over 1.5 million copies in sixty languages. He lives in Oakland, CA.
