The Book of Secret Wisdom: The Prophetic Record of Human Destiny and Evolution by Zinovia Dushkova (Translator)

Hidden away for long millennia and accessible only to a few chosen ones, the oldest text of Tibetan origin uncovers what awaits humanity in The Book of Secret Wisdom.

The Book of Secret Wisdom includes a newly released excerpt from the million-year-old manuscript widely known as the Book of Dzyan. The book was originally written in Senzar, a Sanskrit-like language, and was translated by Dr. Zinovia Dushkova in 1995.

Far back in the 19th century, the Great Masters of Wisdom permitted Madame Blavatsky, the world-renowned figure of esoteric philosophy, to study the most ancient manuscripts secretly stored in Tibet. Her highly influential works based on those sacred texts have received praise from numerous prominent individuals including Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, and even Elvis Presley.

In 1889 Helena Blavatsky stated: “During the last quarter of every hundred years an attempt is made by those ‘Masters,’ of whom I have spoken, to help on the spiritual progress of humanity in a marked and definite way.” Blavatsky, who has made accurate predictions in advance of many scientific discoveries, was correct once again.

A century later in 1995, the Masters of Wisdom allowed Dr. Zinovia Dushkova to translate twelve new stanzas from the mysterious Book of Dzyan. However, unlike the nineteen stanzas of Dzyan published in Blavatsky’s masterwork, The Secret Doctrine, the new excerpt is translated in simple and understandable language accessible to everyone.

Through the poetical beauty of language, the new stanzas embrace not only the past, but also the present and future of both humanity and Earth. Furthermore, this new material shines light on the development of the Solar System and the Universe as a whole. Thus, these stanzas, supplemented with exclusive material available in The Book of Secret Wisdom, enable you to find answers to questions such as:

  • What is behind the processes currently affecting our planet, which manifest daily in anomalous weather, global warming, and natural disasters around the world?
  • Why does it seem that more and more evil is appearing every day, manifesting itself through growing conflicts all over the world?
  • What really happened in 1999 and 2012?
  • What is the Great Event expected to occur in 2017, and how does it depend upon the collective will of humanity?
  • What awaits humanity in the immediate future?
  • Why does it seem that time is speeding up?
  • What is the famous Philosopher’s Stone?
  • Why people are dying, and is there a chance to be immortal?
  • When will Armageddon happen?
  • What is the mission of our planet and of every being in the Universe?

Containing information and knowledge that has never appeared anywhere before, The Book of Secret Wisdom brings a heartwarming message of love and hope for the human race. However, Dr. Dushkova encourages readers to examine the evidence presented and then listen to their own heart alone. She states, “When you feel the words which are voiced here in the depths of your own soul, you may listen to yourself and trust what is said.”

Zinovia Vasilievna Dushkova, Ph.D., is a Russian author, poet, philosopher, historian, and traveller. She has been honoured with a number of awards, prizes, and commendations for her contribution to the spiritual development of society, and for excellence in the domain of scientific research into the ecology of consciousness. She is a Fellow of the European Academy of Natural Sciences and the European Scientific Society, both based in Hanover, Germany.

A seeker of ancient truths, Dr. Dushkova has always strived to find only one thing: Love. She has engaged in research in Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America for more than twenty years, acquiring the secret wisdom underlying all known religions and philosophies. She has stayed at remote Buddhist monasteries and secret Abodes hidden in mountains, deserts, and caves in Tibet, Mongolia, Nepal, and India, as well as other countries, where sacred scrolls and ancient manuscripts have been preserved. These are the places where her predecessors in esoteric philosophy, Helena Blavatsky and Helena Roerich, obtained their own wisdom. As a result, since 1997, nearly forty works by Dr. Dushkova have been published in Russia, Ukraine, Moldova, and France.

These works are all of a spiritual nature, having been recorded during her travels in the Himalayas, the Karakorum, the Nilgiri, the Gobi Desert, the Pyrenees, and beyond. They reflect a neat synthesis of science, religion, history, and philosophy. Underlying Dr. Dushkova’s poetry and prose, her fairy tales and legends, is a worldview full of wisdom and the cultural heritage of both the East and the West.

Her works are often described as “books full of Light.” Readers are attracted to the unusual depth, yet simplicity, of the author’s thought, the life-affirming notes which characterize each volume, and the beauty, poetry, and musicality of her language. Dr. Dushkova’s books are distinct from many others in that Good, Light, and Love — in their highest manifestation — consistently characterize her writings.

In her creative work, Dr. Zinovia Dushkova continually strives to reignite hope where it has disappeared, illuminate Love where it has died away, and add delight to life where its meaning has been lost. And indeed, her readers’ reactions show clearly that these books help people to learn. While assisting them to change themselves for the better, they also help them find purpose and meaning in life through establishing solutions to the universal questions and answers that vex us all.

Wisdom Seekers: The Rise of the New Spirituality by Nevill Drury (Author)

Wisdom Seekers: The Rise of the New Spirituality explores the origins and precursors of the New Age movement, its consolidation within the American counterculture of the late 1960s, and its development into an international spiritual perspective in contemporary Western society.

The book considers the influence on the New Age of metaphysicians like Emanuel Swedenborg, Mesmer, Madame Blavatsky and Gurdjieff; pioneering thinkers like Freud, Jung and William James; and the contribution to New Age thought of Indian spiritual traditions and transpersonal psychology. Wisdom Seekers also describes the way in which the New Age paradigm has absorbed the most recent discoveries of quantum physics and consciousness research, and it explores the New Age focus on personal spiritual experience rather than formal religious doctrines.

Dr Nevill Drury was born in Hastings, England, but has lived most of his life in Australia. A former editor of the holistic journal Nature & Health, he held a PhD from the University of Newcastle and wrote widely on the Western esoteric tradition, visionary consciousness and shamanism, as well as on contemporary art. He wrote over sixty books, including Sacred Encounters; The Dictionary of the Esoteric; Magic and Witchcraft: From Shamanism to the Technopagans; Stealing Fire from Heaven: The Rise of Modern Western Magic, and a speculative work of fiction titled Second Coming 2012: The Mayan Revelation (O Books). His work has been published in 25 countries and 18 languages. He died in New South Wales, Australia in October 2013.

Shamanic Transformations True Stories of the Moment of Awakening ~ Edited by: Itzhak Beery

Inspiring accounts from renowned contemporary working shamans about their first moments of spiritual epiphany

• With contributions by Sandra Ingerman, Hank Wesselman, John Perkins, Alberto Villoldo, Lewis Mehl-Madrona, Tom Cowan, Lynn Andrews, Linda Star Wolf, and others

• Also includes shamanic awakening experiences from those with unique shamanic paths–teachers, mothers, social workers, academics, and even rappers

How does one receive the “call” to enter onto the shamanic path? What causes some people to change their safe, uneventful, and ordinary lives and start on a spiritual search? For many it is a singular instant, a flash when the mystical reveals itself and the person is drawn into the world of shamanic power. For a few, it is a more gradual awakening, filled with numinous events that build upon one another until the calling of the shamanic path can no longer be ignored.

In this book of remarkable stories, we learn firsthand about the many different forms of the “aha” moment of shamanic awakening, whether they arise from ceremony, near-death experiences, dream messages, or entheogenic substances. We travel alongside Sandra Ingerman, Hank Wesselman, John Perkins, Alberto Villoldo, Lewis Mehl-Madrona, Tom Cowan, Lynn Andrews, Linda Star Wolf, and other well-known shamanic practitioners as they begin their transformations into the prominent shamans we know them as. We experience the real-life shamanic epiphanies of those with unique shamanic paths–teachers, mothers, social workers, academics, healers, and even rappers who have all experienced a moment in time in which they were awakened and the shamanic path showed itself to them.

As each of these unique and beautiful stories of unexpected realization, insight, and inspiration unfolds, we see how these single moments–usually entirely unexpected–are able to transform the individual’s life, clearing their vision and allowing a new consciousness to emerge. As a whole, this collection paints a breathtaking portrait of the intricacies of the shamanic path and the paradigm shift of which we all are part.

Itzhak Beery is an internationally recognized shamanic healer and teacher. He was initiated into the Circle of 24 Yachaks by his Quechua teacher in Ecuador and by Amazonian Kanamari Pagè. He has also trained intensively with other elders from South and North America. The Gift of Shamanism – Trailer

“Through his straightforward and surprising stories you can witness firsthand his transformation, from a skeptical nonbeliever who was a New York advertising executive, to a full-fledged shamanic practitioner and teacher for others around the world. This is a testament of personal awakening and a lesson to others, but most of all it is an affirmation of the power that shamanic traditions offer us during this time of extreme planetary vulnerability.

The Gift of Shamanism is also a tribute to Itzhak’s teachers, many of whom I know personally and have worked with. This book is written in the time-tested shamanic tradition of storytelling and from the perspective that only through personal examples can we learn the secrets of our own existence and achieve the goal of realizing our highest purpose.

Read on. Be amazed and inspired. Above all, be open to your own powers.”

The Deal: A Guide to Radical and Complete Forgiveness by Richard Smoley (Author)

Here is the greatest “deal” you will ever find: This concise, deeply practical guide shows how to forgive anyone who has ever hurt you and to receive a payback of enormous personal satisfaction and inner peace.

“What I am offering you in this book is the best deal you have ever gotten in your life, or ever will. Even though I know nothing about you, I’m willing to make this claim with complete certainty.”

With elegance and absolute persuasiveness The Deal explains how forgiveness – rather than being a squishy, eat-your-vegetables virtue – is actually the key, perhaps the sole key, to a happy life.

If you perform the one simple but vital forgiveness exercise in The Deal, you will forgive and be forgiven. You will be free. You will enter a new phase of life.

A widely respected spiritual writer and thinker, Richard Smoley doesn’t hand you the standard promise that this book will change your life. When you finish it, he concludes: “It already has changed your life.”

This is the simple, radical truth of The Deal.

One of today’s most highly regarded writers on esoteric topics, Richard Smoley is a graduate of Harvard College and the University of Oxford. He was a longtime editor of the venerated spiritual journal Gnosis. Smoley’s books include Inner Christianity. He is editor of Quest: Journal of the Theosophical Society in America and of Quest Books.

The Light Between Us Stories from Heaven. Lessons for the Living. by Laura Lynne Jackson

For readers of Proof of Heaven, the astonishing story of a woman with an extraordinary psychic gift—and a powerful message from the Other Side that can help us to live more beautifully in the here and now.

Laura Lynne Jackson is a wife, a mother, a high school English teacher—and a psychic medium. Where most believe an impenetrable wall divides the world between the living and the dead, Jackson sees bright, brilliant cords of light that pass through a barrier as thin as a sheet of paper. Her gifts tested and verified by some of the most prominent scientific organizations studying paranormal phenomena, Jackson has dedicated her life to exploring our connection to the Other Side, conversing with departed loved ones, and helping people come to terms with loss. In The Light Between Us, she shares her remarkable journey and the lessons in love she’s learned along the way.

Jackson is just a child when she first realizes she is different from her peers. She has tremendous empathy and often finds herself overcome by the emotions of those around her. She has premonitions about friends and family members that leave her feeling helpless, sad, and confused. She confides in her mother—and learns that the gift runs in the family.

For twenty years Jackson leads a double life. By day, she teaches literature to Long Island high school students. At night, in private, she conducts readings that connect people with loved ones who have passed and imparts information with shocking accuracy and insight. And then one day, her two worlds become one and she comes to fully embrace her gift and her purpose.

Jackson writes with clarity and grace, using her unique perspective to address the eternal questions that vex us all: Why are we here? What happens when we die? How do we find our true path in this life? Here too are deeply affecting accounts of ordinary people reunited with their departed friends and family members—true stories of forgiveness and reconciliation that transcend the barrier between life and death.

The Light Between Us provides guideposts for living a rich and fulfilling life. In her beautiful worldview, Laura Lynne Jackson reminds us that our relationship to those we love endures across space and time; that we are all connected and invested in one another’s lives; and that we are here to give and receive love selflessly. Her story offers a new understanding of the vast reach of our consciousness and enlarges our view of the human experience.

Laura Lynne Jackson is a high school English teacher and psychic medium who has been certified by the Windbridge Institute for Applied Research in Human Potential and the Forever Family Foundation. She lives on Long Island with her husband and their three children. This is her first book

Transcendent Sex: When Lovemaking Opens the Veil by Jenny Wade (Author)

  • It’s best-kept secret in history: ordinary people, people just like you, can suddenly without any warning or preparation can find themselves transported to otherworldly realms when making love, as though God’s lightning-bolt shot through the bedroom, transforming everything. Sex can trigger amazing altered-state experiences—without drugs, meditation, or Tantric or other special practices. And when it does, nothing is ever the same again.

Transcendent Sex: When Lovemaking Opens the Veil is based on the narratives of 91 people who went to bed with their lovers and suddenly had an awe-inspiring experience that forever changed the way they understood themselves and reality—and the power of sex and the body as a path to realization.

This book explains how lovemaking sweeps people into glorious new dimensions, rips the veil between the worlds, and produces ecstasies a thousand times more powerful than the most exquisite orgasm. Lovemaking so spectacular really does become a religious experience, even for atheists and agnostics.

Transcendent sex was probably the basis for the sacred sex of ancient times, such as the mystery religions of Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece, Rome, China, and India. But sacred sex is alive and well today, even though nobody talks about it. The states triggered by lovemaking are identical to the highest states identified in shamanism, yoga, Buddhism, and mystical Christianity, Judaism and Islam, including:

  • Shapeshifting
  • Being possessed by or channeling animals, plants, and supernatural beings
  • Seeing divine avatars
  • Reliving past lives
  • Having paranormal powers
  • Awakening to the enlightenment of nirvana
  • Being one with God

What Dr. Wade’s Research Can Do for You

Research suggests that this kind of sex will happen at least once to 1 out of every 8 people. It’s a life-changing experience that can be hazardous if you’re not grounded, but for people who know how to integrate them, like other spiritual events, transcendent sex can result in:

  • Shedding a lifetime of shame and guilt about sexuality
  • Healing from sexual trauma and abuse to enjoy making love
  • Acquiring paranormal abilities for healing or psychic gifts
  • Having a healthier, happier, more fulfilling life
  • Opening to spiritual realization, even after a lifetime of seeking, or one of atheism, doubt, or a religion that didn’t fit

Dr. Jenny Wade’s groundbreaking research can help you understand:

  • What transcendent sex is
  • The dark side of transcendent sex
  • How to cultivate transcendent sex for yourself
  • How to avoid the very real hazards associated with it
  • What positive transformation you can expect from transcendent sexual experiences

  • Dr. Jenny Wade is a speaker, researcher, and consultant who specializes in the spontaneous openings and intentional practices that expand human potential by accessing hidden or unused innate capacities. She is a developmental psychologist who studies the gateways to greater possibility available to everyone. Dr. Wade is a keynote speaker and workshop leader featured in such wide-ranging venues as Oprah Radio with Dr. Oz, the OMXperience conference, Penthouse Germany, sacred sexuality conferences, Esalen, and ID Academy in Denmark.

In addition to unusual states of awareness, Dr. Wade’s research of variations in normal adult consciousness forms the basis of a leadership development consulting practice. She has over twenty years’ experience working with global organizations to optimize performance.

Help from Heaven Direct From Spirit: Living Beyond Your Beliefs By Connie Fox

The conversations in this book were communicated directly from spirit. Connie Fox transcribed these messages word for word, as they were given to her. Much of the content relates to how everyone can easily experience the hidden presence of their own soul. There is a big difference between believing you have an eternal soul and the direct experience of knowing you are an eternal soul.

Beliefs are the cause of all fears and fears are the cause of all problems. Once you go beyond your beliefs you come to know your true nature. A profound sense of peace begins to enter your awareness. By simply allowing this all-encompassing peace into your life, an inner joy and unconditional love spontaneously develops. This is life-changing. Nothing and no one in this physical world can give you this. Such peace comes only from realizing who you are beyond your beliefs. That is the essence of this book: How to live beyond your beliefs, what spiritual growth really means and how to achieve it at a rapid rate.

The new knowledge from the awe-inspiring messages in Help From Heaven were communicated from the spirits of Jesus, Buddha, Archangels Gabriel and Metatron, Mother Mary, Mahavatar Babaji, Mahatma Gandhi and others.

It is the opinion of Spirit that the simple act of reading these words begins to enliven the soul and heal the heart. It is not just talking around an idea of spirituality; it is delivering the actual experience. There is a Source of power greater than you alone. Find it and your life will never be the same.

Connie Fox is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and Columbia University Teacher’s College in New York. She is a licensed Health Practitioner and Nutritional Consultant who specializes in mercury/environmental detoxification. Apart from that is her truly unique communication gift. She converses directly with spirit, with the intelligence of the body’s cells and with the consciousness of others.

Connie is the author of “The Power of You” and “Help from Heaven”. Her third book, “Messages From the Master” is to be published in the spring of 2015.

Connie lives in Palm Beach County, Florida with her two rescue dogs. She offers private phone consultations and group gatherings to answer your questions about any personal, medical or spiritual matter and global events.

7 Levels of Awareness We Need To Transition The Earth

by Kirsten Cowart: This earth and its people are incredible. Our mother earth is a beautiful place that deserves our respect and contains endless secrets for our evolution.
In order to tap into our greatest potential we need to start working together, with love and awareness, so that we can transition ourselves and the people around us into higher states of awareness.

Once we reach, stabilize, and master each of these levels of awareness we will be closer and more able to heal the earth and create the world we all yearn for. As you read each of these sections understand that it is much like building a pyramid within your own soul, with the help of others, in order to support the higher levels you will first need to master the lower levels. Together we can accomplish everything you read about below.

1. Safety and Security- Before we can work on transforming ourselves we need to feel safe and secure. Creating transformation on this earth is hard to think about when you are in pain, hungry, or in a space of fear. In order to transition the earth into a higher plane we need to relieve the suffering of everyone both physically and mentally.

This is where the healers of the earth come into play. If you have felt a calling in your soul to help other then this section is for you. Before we can heal the earth and transition mankind into a higher state of awareness we have to make sure that we are healing others. We must create a loving and nurturing space for other to feel safe, to grow, and to transcend.

People want to grow, naturally, but often they don’t feel like they can because they feel unsafe. Often the most sensitive people will feel the most lost in society today. How can they express their feelings and move on to the next level in their awareness if they cannot move outside of fear?

2. Connections & Creation ; Creation- After someone feels safe the next thing that will help them transition themselves into a higher awareness is through connections with others and through creating. If you can pair the two then you are set. Because we are all reflections of the one consciousness there is a lot that we can learn from each other.

Find your tribe, find the people that your soul yearns to be around, and connect with them. There are many different groups, cultures, and interests out there. Finding your group of ‘others’ will help you better understand yourself. This will not only aid in their growth but it will aid in your own as well. Peering into the mirror of life, through another person’s eyes, will help you to slow down and see yourself more clearly.

Find your passion, even if you are not interested in art or crafting things try it out. Find a hobby or two and start learning how to create. Ignite your passions and take up dancing or yoga. Pair your creating with your connections and learn how to work in a team. Working with others can be hard at first. You have to learn how to share in a co-vision with others and be more attached to the experience you have working together then the end results of the project.

Often though as you loose yourself in what you love, with others, you will find that it was successful all along.

3. Self- Confidence and Self Assurance- Once you feel safe, connect with others, and start creating then you will find your self confidence and become sure of yourself. Mastering a skill or building something you are proud of is a powerful way to physically manifest parts of yourself and your passion into the third dimension.

Many people have some incredible ideas but they still don’t feel confident or sure of themselves. That may be because they haven’t acted on their dreams. They haven’t lived their passions or mastered their skill/art of choice. There is always more time, so don’t be discouraged if you haven’t started living your dreams yet. Many famous painters, linguists and brilliant minds didn’t start until much after retirement.

Finding yourself is easy when you loose yourself in the work you are passionate about. Just make sure that you are open minded about this concept. Remember that your work may be in healing or serving others. Everyone has something that, with effort and practice, they can become quite masterful at.

4. Open Minded & Connected Hearts; Connected Hearts- Once people transcend fear, connect with others, begin creating, and find themselves by getting lost in their higher work, they will be able to create higher heart connections with an open mind. It is time for our species to trust in their hearts once again. It is time for compassion, love, empathy, and understanding.

Without the first three ingredients it is very hard for a person, no matter how good their intentions are, to hold onto a higher heart centered vibration of endless love and compassion. Why is this? It is because without complete acceptance of the true self we are not able to move beyond the ego into the ego-less acceptance of everyone else.

When you are in an open space of love your connections with the people around you grow. You are able to connect with animals on a higher level as well. Your hearts all connect in an open and aware state that is likened to a heart telepathy. Whereas empathy is often feeling each others emotions and pain this heart telepathy shifts into an awareness of another persons soul. You begin to see them in their highest state of awareness and nurture them into that space.

No matter what happens around you, your heart is still and unmoving in its endless compassion for those around you. Even if they hurt you, or cause you pain, you see their pain through your own and your love them.

5. Higher Knowledge, True Understanding-
Once people transcend fear, meaningfully connect with others, create their passions, and connect their hearts to a higher level of love then they will be able to tap into the higher consciousness and in a sense channel the knowledge they are looking for.

The information will not be filtered through the ego, or any bias of the self because those parts will have been mastered long ago. This is the space where anyone will be able to tap into mass consciousness (the Akashic records) and have an endless connection with the higher knowledge of the soul.

When you are in a space of flow, within this space, all you need to do is ask a question or be asked a question by another and the information will flow into your mind as easily as if you downloaded it into your memory. This is truly a place where mankind will be able to find what they need to create the technologies necessary to heal the earth and free everyone else who is trapped in lower levels of consciousness such as fear and doubt.

6. Intuition, Psychic Abilities, Timelessness- Once mankind has overcome fear, connected with each other in creation, manifested their dreams and desires, opened their hearts in higher compassion, and opened the floodgates of endless knowledge they will be balanced and responsible in their awareness enough to manifest their higher powers.

This is the realm of psychic abilities. Often times people wish to have the power to change the weather, move objects with their minds, heal entire oceans, slow down and change time, and so many other things. Sometimes people even tap into these abilities from time to time. However, the abilities seemed limited, inconsistent, and or unstable until a person transitions through the lower states of awareness into this one.

This is the exciting realm of Kairos time (Gods Time) where from the moment you wake up till the moment you go to sleep you are in flow. You are so in sync with the universe that everything seems to flow effortlessly through you. Creation becomes ten times more fluid and simple from this space of higher intuition. Learning becomes as simple as breathing and limits fall away from you completely as you transition into endless freedom.

This is also the realm where telepathic mental communication replaces the need for the limited nature of words. You send and receive pictures, impressions, stories, and are completely transparent with those whom you share a connection with.

7. Divine Connections, Nature’s will, Protection of higher Transition– Once all of the other states of consciousness are mastered you shift into a space of communion with nature, divinity, and the universe. This communion makes you a type of guardian or protector over the natural divine flow. This is the awareness where ultimate wisdom comes from the experience of knowledge.

You have traveled far, mastered yourself, guided others, and are now concerned with the higher flow of consciousness and finding ways to ease the transition of all forms of life into their own divine order. Often that may look like protecting the rights of people, animals, trees, nature, and the earth herself.

Your compassion and patience for others is endless. You encourage learning and growth while maintaining the balance that you are guided to fulfill by the higher connections you are beginning to make. Much of this section is so far beyond words that even though it seems like the end, it is actually just the beginning of a whole new set of experiences, adventures, and levels of awareness. There are truly no limits here.

Thank you for taking the time to read and consider each of these important stages in the development of our awareness.

WITHIN THE HEART OF HEARTS: A Story of Mystical Love by Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee

Within the Heart of Hearts is a journey into the mystical secrets of the heart. Designed to be read like a medieval book of hours, it uses prose, poetry, and images as a series of meditations on the stages of love’s mystical journey, from the initial experience of searching and the heart’s longing, to the ecstatic union with God, the lover united with the Beloved. This simple but powerful description of the Sufi journey reminds us of this living tradition of divine love.

Taking advantage of the format of an eBook, beautiful images speak directly to the soul, as do the poems that touch the heart. Here is the poetry of Rumi, Hafiz, Ibn ‘Arabi, and other Sufi masters placed within the context of the stages of the heart’s opening to God. Speaking the universal language of love, they allow each of us to feel the mystery, wonder, and bliss that belongs to the heart of hearts, the mystical secret that is hidden within us. They draw us deep within our own heart, where this intoxicating relationship of lover and Beloved takes place.

The popularity of Rumi has shown a thirst in the West for mystical love. This small book is a way to drink deeply of this wine of love, this tradition of lovers of God. Written by a contemporary Sufi, Within the Heart of Hearts is based upon a lived experience of the Sufi path and the inner experiences of the heart.

INTRODUCTION

The mystical journey is the greatest undertaking we can ever make, a journey inward into the heart of hearts, the mysterious core of our own being. On this journey we will encounter the depths of the darkness within us, of our fears and failures, and then a light and a love beyond imagining. We are taken by love to love, into the pain, the tenderness and then the unbelievable bliss of oneness with the divine. This is humanity’s greatest secret, hidden within each of us.

Since the very beginning there have always been those who are drawn to follow love’s calling, to make this impossible journey into the center of the heart. Some of these travellers came to be called Sufis (the name possibly referring to their white woolen garments, sûf, or an indication of their purity of heart, safâ). And some of them have left signposts of their journey—poems and stories of their heart’s opening, of the transformations wrought through the power and pain of the love along the mystical way. This little book, following some of those signposts, takes us through some of the stages of the journey on this secret path within the heart.

The poems in these pages point to an unfolding story. In its more familiar form, this is the narrative of the mystical journey that takes us from the experience of separation to the oneness of union with God—a journey, as those who have been taken on this path have told us, that passes through longing, struggle and pain, as well as bliss. But underneath this story lies another less-told one, not about a journey, but about a relationship.

Mystical life can be seen as an unfolding inner relationship between the soul and its Beloved. This relationship is always present, though it is hidden by life’s outer activity, by our ego, by the mind and its thoughts. It is a relationship of love: the love affair with the Beloved that is always alive in the core of our being, within the heart of hearts. Its story is the story of the mystic’s gradual opening, as she steps into the arena of the heart where this love affair is taking place, into a fuller and fuller experience of the love that is always present.

The poems that follow speak to this inner love affair. They tell of the nearness, the sweetness, as well as the suffering of love. This is the one story of divine love within all that exists, that spins the heart as well as the sun and the stars. And it is also our own intimate love affair, the passion of our own soul.

This book, with its poems and images, is designed to be experienced as a series of meditations, like a medieval book of hours. It is hoped that the reader will allow these meditations to unlock the secret of the hidden story of love they point to, so that once again we can hear what the Beloved is saying, come to know how much we are loved.

Aesthetic Rapture ~ Transformative Power of Beauty

”…As an artist, already from an early age, I’ve noticed how every experience has a certain resonance… a certain texture, a certain color, a certain flavor… And even a certain dimension where the experience felt most compelling…

These experiences were the budding impulses of creative outpouring eager to blossom within my being, with the senses as the apertures, both capable of absorbing or allowing the light of my own awareness to illumine reality into an extraordinary event filled with presence, or to rob me of my own Self…

How all these was arising was not always clear, but there was this mixture of intimacy and detachment – I knew this to be an inseparable part of my own self as a passionate but uninvolved spectator.

Wasn’t long before that I’ve realized the terrifying Power of Beauty as the delight incomparable to any as the essence arising deep within my own being.

…I’ve never really considered myself to be a seeker and the quest was not so much in finding the way out, but rather the way in… into that mystery of perception where the sanctity of the senses – as divine agencies – culminate in a state of the Aesthetic Rapture… where the Self beholding its own magnificence as this experience…

Way before the mind could be converted into other possibilities and philosophies where this phenomenal existence is seen and dismissed as an illusion arising in consciousness, I’ve realized, that my own breath is the ebb and flow to measure infinity itself… and my senses are divine instruments eager to be tuned into their finest level of resonance, so as to hear the ‘unheard’ voice of Creation arising within my own Being…

This (teaching) is an invitation to re-evaluate the nature of experience and to reclaim your divine status. The only quest here is in beholding life awakening through you as existence itself… This is the Path of Beauty…

The quality of our experiences are based on the level of our consciousness. The World out there is the way we perceive it in here and that’s not a static affair, for our reality changes with our perception of it. Everything unfolds in that creative tension between the subject and the object and the relationship between them. It is for that reason the refinement of perception is seen as an indispensable part of any spiritual progress… until subject and object, lover and beloved, are drowned in the Sea of Love…

This is not a concept but a revelation upon which the sanity of our lives depends. The sanity of our civilization… This revelation is what connects us to the very ground of existence.

This sanctity is life awakened to Silence steeped in Bliss – it is a stream flowing through you as wakefulness of your own awareness…

That sacred flow – though an inherent part of the river of being – is in need to be invoked through direct partaking, and diving into the depth of that invocation… again and again…”

Sacred Plant Initiations: Communicating with Plants for Healing and Higher Consciousness By (author) [updated April 16, 2015] Carole Guyett

March 2015

About Sacred Plant Initiations

A practical guide to connecting with plants through ceremony

• Explains how to commune with plants and their spirits through the traditional shamanic method of “plant dieting” to receive their teachings and guidance

• Details 8 ceremonial plant initiations centered on common, easily recognized plants and trees such as primrose, dandelion, oak, and dog rose

• Provides instructions to develop your own sacred plant initiations and make ceremonial plant elixirs

• Includes four audio journeys to facilitate plant initiations

In this guide to sacred plant initiations, medical herbalist and shamanic practitioner Carole Guyett explains how to commune with plants and their spirits through the traditional shamanic method of “plant dieting.” A plant diet involves ingesting a particular plant over a period of time so you regularly receive the plant’s vibratory energy as well as its medicinal actions. Adding a ceremonial element to plant dieting offers a sacred initiation by the plant world, allowing you to connect deeply with all aspects of a plant, receive its sacred teachings, and forge a relationship for guidance and healing, benefitting both yourself and others.

Each of the eight ceremonial plant initiations detailed in the book was personally developed by the author through extensive work with her ceremonial groups. They each center on an easily recognized plant or tree such as primrose, dandelion, oak, and dog rose. These common plants have powerful teachings and healing guidance to share with those who communicate with and honor them. The initiations, for both individuals and groups, work with the Wheel of the Year, honoring each plant’s sacred timing and connecting with one of the eight Celtic and Pre-Celtic Fire Festivals–the solstices, equinoxes, and the holy days of Beltane, Lughnasadh, Samhain, and Imbolc.

Offering practical instructions so you can develop your own sacred plant initiations, the author also include access to 4 audio journeys to facilitate the initiations in the book. She also explains how to make plant elixirs for use in plant diets and for healing. She shows how connecting with plants allows us to deepen our relationship with Nature, access higher levels of consciousness and spiritual realms, and facilitate the full flowering of human potential.

Introduction

Ceremonial plant dieting is a traditional method of honoring the plant world. The ceremonial process offers a unique way to connect deeply with all aspects of a plant, opening gateways to spiritual realms and facilitating powerful transformation at physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual levels. Plant dieting is a traditional term referring to a wide range of methods whereby plants are ingested in order to form a deep relationship with them and to receive their gifts of guidance and healing. This book presents a way of experiencing plants as conscious spiritual beings and aims to demonstrate how common plants in our hedgerows provide a form of “medicine” that can help us take an evolutionary leap to a new vision of reality.

In modern Western culture plant diets are often associated with plants known as Teacher Plants, Master Plants, or Plants of Vision. These are generally psychoactive plants like Datura, Sacred Mushrooms, Peyote, and many others that are described as opening gateways to higher consciousness.

The experiences described in this book are of plant diets taken with nonpsychoactive plants. These include plants and trees such as Primrose, Dandelion, Oak, Elder, and Dog Rose, all common medicinal plants not typically known for their consciousness-raising effects. However, in my experience, while not chemically psychoactive, the plants we are dieting most definitely can behave as entheogens, or “gateways to the divine.” With their help we can safely visit levels of consciousness that may have seemed reserved for so-called Teacher Plant ceremonies. Perhaps, when approached with honor and reverence, all plants can behave in this way.

6 Primrose Bealtaine
Initiation and New Beginnings

Primrose comes as one of the first flowers of spring, offering light and hope after the darkness of winter. Ruled by Venus and considered female in gender, her bright yellow flowers surprise and delight us, lighting up the fields and bringing splashes of illumination to the woods and hedgerows. She is associated with the element of earth and with spring goddesses. Primrose unlocks the spring and offers us a means to move forward. This is the “Key Flower,” a gift from the gods and goddesses to show us the way to the hidden treasure inside ourselves and inside the Earth. It is time to move toward the light, time for initiation and rebirth into the freedom of our creative potential.

Associated with the growing life force of spring, the Primrose has long been considered to have special powers. This is a traditional herb of Bealtaine (pronounced BEE-EL-TANA), bursting with bright, creative energy and initiating new beginnings. Primrose awakens both romantic love and spiritual transformation. It is an ideal plant to diet with at this season of fertile growth.

Bealtaine
A Time of New Beginnings

Bealtaine, otherwise known as Beltane or May Eve, is the major fertility festival of the year. This is the time when all of nature is rapidly growing and moving forward with rampant potency. It is a time to celebrate the fertility of the land and our own creative urges; a time of growth, expansion, and playfulness when sexual forces are at their peak. In Ireland, Bealtaine marks the start of summer. Traditionally, in our Celtic Pagan past this was the night to celebrate the union of the Horned God and the fertile Goddess. Young couples would make love outdoors in the forests and green fields, reenacting the sacred marriage between Earth and Sky to ensure the fertility of the land.

In modern times we can kindle a sacred fire and jump the flames in order to purify, to let go, and to bring forth our wildness and creativity. This is the time to take a leap in to the power of our own potential. Bealtaine is a time to gather with like-minded others, celebrating love, creativity, and the power of nature. Hawthorn trees (as well as the primrose) are particularly associated with this festival, and for some people the timing of Bealtaine is reckoned as the day the hawthorn first blooms. We can honor the trees by dressing them with ribbons and flowers, giving thanks and celebrating their burgeoning growth.

Primrose–The Key Flower

Primula vulgaris
Plant family: Primulaceae (Primrose Family)

Other common names: Samhaircin (Irish), Primev貥 (French), Primavera (Spanish), Primel (German), Key Flower, St. Peter’s Keys.

Description: A hardy, deciduous perennial growing to a height of 3 to 6 inches. It has a rosette of long, crinkly leaves from which grow pale yellow flowers with deep yellow centers. These flowers arise on individual stalks in April or May. Flowers are sweetly scented and have a pleasant flavor.

Habitat: Grassy banks, roadsides, sea cliffs, waste ground, woodlands, and fields.

Distribution: The genus is comprised of about 550 species. Native to Europe, Asia, and northern West Africa, Primrose is a protected plant in certain parts of the world, in which case the roots should not be disturbed unless being cultivated at home. Primrose is not a North American native, although it is locally established and a variety of cultivars exist throughout North America.

Parts used: Flowers (gathered April-May), root and rhizome (gathered March-April), leaves (gathered March-April).

Primrose as a Spirit Medicine
In my experience, Primrose has a very clear, pure, healing energy that washes away extraneous mental activity and brings feelings of deep peace. It clears obsessive thinking, bringing a calm, secure sense of connection with the Earth. At the same time it is light and playful, lifting feelings of heaviness from the heart, releasing stuck patterns and restoring hope. When we feel stuck or confused, Primrose clears the mind and enables us to gain a new perspective. It frees creative energy that can then flow unimpeded and without judgment. In this way Primrose can open a huge surge of creativity, facilitating major change in people’s lives and helping them in their quest for wholeness. When it appears in a healing session it frequently heralds a time of transformation.
